The Durham Region Employment Network (DREN) offers a wide range of services to its member organizations. A variety of meeting formats allow for information sharing across the Network to meet the needs of a variety of members.
The experience and expertise of more than 70 member organizations is our strength. The sharing of information, skills and best practices allow us to build better services. We realize that the power of many is stronger than one.

- Job Developers Group
- Meets monthly and provides a forum for sharing client and job leads, networking opportunities, and guest speaker and agency presentations. See our Calendar for upcoming dates and event details!
- Network Meetings
- 70 agencies meeting on a regular basis to share information and work in unison, so that we service the Durham Community effectively. It is an opportunity to network and learn more about the services each organization offers, share labour market information and knowledge. Special guest speakers are arranged to help support organizations in their growth towards success.
- Agency of the Month
- Want to promote your organization? Each month an agency is highlighted on the front page of our website. With over 250 visitors a day, it is a great way to market your services.
- Job Board Access
- If you have a position you wish to advertise, you can use our job posting service free of charge. It will be viewable by our network members and other community partners.
- Events Calendar Access
- If you have an event you can post it on our Community Calendar. Clients and organizations visit this section of our website so that they are aware of what is happening in Durham.
- Promotion
- We advertise, promote and advocate on your behalf. Any meeting or event we attend we make sure to promote the DREN members. They are the foundation of DREN. At all events brochures are on display of all agency members so that we advocate your services. Community Unity is our focus. We are continuously asked to be present on steering committees as we represent a very large number of community service providers that help with employment. DREN belongs to the following:

- ODSP (Ontario Disability Support Program) Local Planning and Coordinating Group

- Durham Accessibility Advisory Committee
- Scugog Accessibility Advisory Committee
- Oshawa Chamber of Commerce
- Access to Technology/Equipment including a digital camera and a projector.
