Catholic Family Services of Durham was incorporated as a non-profit agency in 1983 to provide inclusive services to anyone in Durham Region.
The agency offers professional counselling as well as educational programs designed to improve the interpersonal skills of individuals and the quality of family and community life.
They assist victims of family violence to obtain protection and safety and to strengthen their lives. They also work collaboratively with other community organizations and parishes and develop preventive programs to reduce the incidence of family violence.
They undertake community development work with interested parishes in their local pastoral zone to facilitate the development of caring communities and Parish Social Ministry Programs.
