As an organization focused on employment for people with barriers, DREN has a huge interest in accessibility.




Ontario is the first jurisdiction in Canada to develop mandatory, province-wide accessibility standards. Click here for more information

Accessible Customer Service Standards are now law:

  • Effective in January 2008


  • Compliance date for the public sector was January 1, 2010.


  • Compliance date for the private business, non-profit organizations, or any other service provider with at least one employee in Ontario is January 1, 2012.
