Heritage Skills Development Centre (HSDC) will be conducting an information session / consultation meeting with youth for their upcoming Youth Dance Classes

Date: Friday, June 20th, 2008

TUTORWIZ’S --- SUMMER COMPUTER CAMPS

 

Tutorwiz Education Centre is holding weekly Computer Day Camps throughout July and August which all children 6 to 14 years of age will enjoy.

Specialized program offered for children with: Learning Disabilities, ADD, ADHD and Asperger’s.

Campers will learn how to operate a computer by voice and learn how to effectively use many educational computer programs such as Kurzweil 3000, WordQ and Inspiration/Smart Ideas, in addition to MS Word and POWERPOINT. They will also become familiar with the basics of designing a website.

The camp is educational and 100% FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

Activities at the camp include:

  • Designing and creating business cards, brochures, address labels
  • An Internet scavenger hunt
  • Designing and creating a fully animated POWERPOINT presentation including sound and videos
  • Movies and creating a Movie Review
  • Designing a basic webpage

ALLYSON SUSKO - Allyson’s experience in mental health has touched on all facets of the mental health system. From the early warning signs of schizophrenia to crisis and finally recovery. As a family member and now mental health professional, she brings a unique perspective to living with schizophrenia that only family members can be familiar with. Her personal story shows that people with a mental illness, and their families, can move past the illness and lead very regular lives.
